COVID-19 research
EnCORE Study and Sub-study (2020-2023)
The EnCORE study was a collaborative research project between the University of Montreal and CHU Sainte-Justine which estimated the proportion of SARS-CoV-2 infections (the virus that causes COVID-19) in children aged 2 to 17 years old. The study also examined children’s emotional and mental health. A cross-sectional phase of the study assessed SARS-CoV-2 infections among school and daycare staff.
The EnCORE immune sub-study was part of a pan-Canadian study examining children’s immune response to SRAS-CoV-2 infection and COVID-19 vaccines over time in children aged 2-11 years old.
Funding by the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR) and the Public Health Agency of Canada (PHAC) through the COVID-19 Immunity Task Force (CITF).
